A-America®, Inc. is a pioneer in the furniture industry and a leading provider of high-quality solid wood furniture for over 45 years. Founded in 1973 by brothers Fred and John Rohrbach—both University of Montana graduates and former U.S. Forest Service smokejumpers—the family-owned company was built on resilience, service, and global vision. Both brothers served honorably in the Vietnam War, John in the U.S. Army and Fred in the 173rd Airborne Brigade.

The company began by importing ceramics from South Vietnam. Following the fall of Saigon in 1975—where Fred was among the last Americans evacuated—the brothers pivoted to Taiwan, sourcing antique reproductions and solid oak furniture. They were among the first to import U.S. hardwoods into Taiwan for manufacturing and later became pioneers in importing oak furniture and American-style pieces from Asia, including China.

Headquartered in the Seattle area, A-America produces solid Hickory, Oak, Mahogany, Cherry, Birch, Pine, Maple, Ash, and Alder furniture. Its core focus includes value-priced dining tables, chairs, bedroom suites, and formal dining collections—earning industry recognition as a leader in casual dining and detailed bedroom furniture.
